Peter McRobert is Editor of the Solway Buzz, so much of his photography is necessarily reportage.

He first took a serious interest in photography in 1961 when he joined Moniebrough Camera Club where he won a few competitions over the next few years. Photography was always a hobby until he started the Solway Buzz community paper in 2001, when the requirement to take photographs regularly whetted his appetite to once again get much more serious about taking wonderful pictures.

The beautiful North Cumbrian scenery and wonderful Solway sunsets are also inspiring Peter.

Peter undertakes Portrait, Wedding, Commercial and Reportage commissions. In addition he enjoys Landscape photography and a selection of limited edition photographs by Peter are on sale in the Discovery Centre, Silloth-on-Solway.

Of course, in today's digital age, a photographer does not spend much time in the darkroom but there is not really a lot that has changed. Peter now finds that he spends too much time in the office with his eyes glued to the computer screen. No wonder he enjoys getting out and taking photographs so much.
